First, we brought you the blog and now we are delivering the first LoveYourHR conference!
The date for the inaugural LoveYourHR conference is set for Thursday 21 June 2018 and will take place in central Birmingham.
We are currently working to secure an exciting line-up of speakers. Please do put a place holder in your diary and click here to register your interest.
We plan to use the conference as a vehicle to showcase transformational initiatives across the HR and OD community, challenge our thinking with thought provoking discussions, as well as leaving us feeling energised and ready to continue to deliver the great work we do.
If you want to learn something new, challenge what you know (or think you know), add your views to discussions and mingle with like-minded delegates as well as making new contacts then pre-register today!
Key themes for the conference will be Digital, Collaboration, Mindset and the team are currently in the process of securing speakers against those themes.
Ahead of the confirmed line-up, Head of Resourcing Manny Sandhu, gives a sneak peak into what is promising to be a must attend event.
“We are all very excited to be arranging this event as it will be bringing together the HR and OD community across the public sector for what we promise will be a great line of speakers.
“The important question we would expect you to ask is “why should I attend?” Well the answer in part falls in line with our biggest movement of all in 2017, our LoveyourHR blog.
“The conference (due to popular demand!) will be a spin off from our LoveyourHR blog, and if you haven’t already seen it then let it be your New Year’s Resolution!
“The LoveyourHR blog is a reminder that we as the HR & OD profession play a vital role in transforming our public services and ultimately the communities we serve.
“To be able to do that, we need to firstly tackle the negative perception in the public and private sector, that the HR profession does little to challenge and transform.
“So, what better way than to host a conference for the HR profession which will show case transformational initiatives, will challenge our thinking with thought provoking discussions and leave us feeling energised and ready to continue to deliver the great work we do.
“Luckily, it’s not just WME who are passionate about this cause, the LoveyourHR movement has created such a huge momentum, attracting many serious thought leaders and high-profile bloggers to join in, some of whom will be coming on board literally by being speakers at the Summer conference.
“A line up of inspiring speakers makes a good conference, but add enthusiastic and open-minded delegates along with an array of sponsors who truly want to ensure delegates ‘learn’ whilst having fun helps to make an awesome conference, and awesome is what we will be delivering!”
If you want to learn something new, challenge what you know (or think you know), add your views to discussions, mingle with like-minded delegates and make new friends across the region and nationally then pre-register today!
